Description

  • Build relationships with key district decision makers and school board stakeholders.
  • Sell Newsela’s suite of products to school districts across the assigned region.
  • Use solution-based selling and solution mapping to advance deals.
  • Create and maintain an aggressive pipeline of prospects and opportunities.
  • Build and adjust strategic account plans for key accounts throughout the sales cycle.
  • Develop lead generation campaigns and manage sales through the full lifecycle.
  • Meet in person with school and district leaders to present solutions, negotiate terms, and secure agreements.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support revenue goals and district initiatives.
  • Forecast sales performance and manage book-of-business priorities independently.
  • Work with executive leadership to discuss deal strategy and market trends.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of demonstrated success selling supplemental products to school districts in the K-12 market.
  • Extensive experience networking, prospecting, and building a sales pipeline.
  • Experience partnering with school districts through BOCES regional offices.
  • Strong ability to navigate complex education ecosystems and build trusted relationships.
  • Well-versed in MEDDPICC sales methodology.
  • Proven success forecasting business in the EdTech industry.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to meet with customers and prospects.
  • Ability to work with significant autonomy and make recommendations that impact strategy and results.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $75,000-$80,000, depending on prior experience.
  • On-target commission of $80,000 and on-target earnings of $155,000-$160,000.
