Description

  • Implement backend solutions for AEM Cloud Service and Edge Delivery Services, including Sling Models, OSGi services, custom workflows, and content APIs.
  • Model content with Content Fragment Models and expose structured content through GraphQL for omnichannel consumption.
  • Define caching strategies using Dispatcher and CDN platforms such as Fastly, Akamai, and CloudFront.
  • Establish non-functional requirements including performance SLAs, uptime, disaster recovery, observability, and security baselines.
  • Build backend services and business logic in Sling/OSGi, extend Core Components, and integrate with CRM, PIM, DAM, marketing technology, and identity providers.
  • Develop REST and GraphQL endpoints while managing service accounts, scopes, and secure secrets.
  • Integrate Adobe IMS, Adobe I/O Runtime, Adobe Target/Analytics, translation services, and personalization APIs.
  • Own CI/CD pipelines for AEM Cloud Service, including code quality gates, static analysis, automated tests, and deployment promotion.
  • Implement automated unit, integration, and contract tests for APIs.
  • Set up observability, alerting, and SLOs using logs, metrics, tracing, and monitoring tools.
  • Apply security best practices, secure endpoints and headers, harden OSGi configurations, and handle PII compliance, data retention, and encryption.
  • Mentor developers, own backlog refinement, and collaborate with architects, product owners, QA, and frontend teams.
  • Contribute to solution roadmaps, estimation, and stakeholder communication.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 6+ years of experience with AEM.
  • 4+ years of experience with AEM Cloud Service and Edge Delivery Services.
  • Strong experience with Java 11+/17, Sling, OSGi, JCR, Oak, AEM Core Components, Content Fragments, and GraphQL.
  • Experience with Universal Editor authoring models and EDS delivery workflows.
  • Experience with API design for REST/GraphQL, integration patterns, event-driven architectures, and messaging such as Kafka or Azure Service Bus.
  • Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud logging/monitoring; Terraform is optional.
  • Experience with security concepts including OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, secure headers, secrets management such as Vault or KMS, and SSO/SAML/Adobe IMS.
  • Experience with performance engineering, including caching, indexing, query optimization, asset processing, and pagination strategies.
  • Nice to have: Adobe Cloud Manager pipeline tuning, Adobe I/O Runtime, and Adobe Target/Launch/Analytics integration.
  • Nice to have: headless or omnichannel delivery to mobile, web, or IoT.
  • Nice to have: GraphQL federation, schema stitching, or API gateways such as Apigee, Kong, or Azure APIM.
