Description

  • Break down larger projects into tasks, deliver them in phases, and collaborate with others to meet deadlines.
  • Partner with product management, design, and analytics during ideation and product development.
  • Articulate technical constraints and help evaluate risks and trade-offs in product decisions.
  • Support the operations and availability of team artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics.
  • Escalate issues and participate in keep-the-lights-on and on-call efforts.
  • Contribute to team growth and development, including participation in the interview process.

Requirements

  • 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems.
  • Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems concepts and technologies such as AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
  • Ability to turn a business problem into a solution spanning multiple software components.
  • Experience writing clear, well-tested, and extensible code.
  • Comfort navigating a large codebase, debugging code, and providing code review feedback.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
  • Demonstrated ownership of personal growth and openness to feedback from managers and stakeholders.
