Description

  • Drive new business growth across embedded systems, software development, IoT, hardware design, cloud-connected products, and engineering services.
  • Identify, develop, and close complex B2B opportunities through networking, prospecting, referrals, partnerships, trade shows, and relationship-building.
  • Build strategic partnerships and expand relationships with engineering leaders and executive decision-makers.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
  • Conduct consultative sales conversations with technical and executive stakeholders to understand needs and propose solutions.
  • Help clients solve technical challenges by aligning them with USA Firmware’s engineering capabilities.
  • Manage opportunities, pipeline activity, forecasts, and customer interactions in a CRM system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support client engagements and business development efforts.
  • Maintain long-term client relationships and act as a trusted advisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of business development, technical sales, account management, or engineering services sales experience.
  • Demonstrated success generating and closing complex B2B opportunities.
  • Proven ability to independently develop new business through networking, prospecting, referrals, partnerships, trade shows, and relationship-building.
  • Experience managing opportunities with typical engagement values of $100,000 to $500,000+.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience presenting to Engineering Managers, Directors of Engineering, Vice Presidents of Engineering, Product Leaders, CTOs, CEOs, and other decision-makers.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage pipelines, forecasts, and customer interactions.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for customer meetings, conferences, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Preferred experience selling embedded systems engineering services.
  • Preferred experience selling software development services.
  • Preferred experience selling IoT, connected product, cloud, or digital transformation solutions.
  • Preferred experience selling engineering consulting services.
  • Preferred experience selling engineering staff augmentation services.
  • Technical background in engineering, computer science, electronics, software development, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with product development organizations, engineering firms, contract manufacturers, or technology consultancies.
  • Existing professional network within embedded systems, industrial technology, IoT, manufacturing, energy, government, or related industries.
  • Prior engineering experience is highly valued.
  • Experience working with Zoho CRM is a plus.
  • Qualified candidates must provide a resume and cover letter describing relevant experience.
  • Qualified candidates must provide three examples of technical, engineering, software development, consulting, or related opportunities they personally originated and helped close, including customer type, approximate deal size, sales cycle length, and their specific role in the engagement.
