Description

  • Collaborate with external customer teams to develop games and game production tools.
  • Evaluate, scope, and provide task and time estimates for customer projects and engagements.
  • Optimize game performance and develop solutions for complex technical problems across target platforms.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Unity's internal development teams and provide customer feedback and production verification for upcoming Unity features.
  • Troubleshoot, communicate, and educate clients both remotely and on-site, including short-term consultations and hands-on support at customer offices.
  • Take over and deliver workstreams within customer production environments when required, coordinating closely with customer teams.
  • Proactively train and maintain up-to-date expertise in Unity Engine and game content creation technologies.
  • Create technical documentation, mentor less-experienced developers, and translate complex technical topics for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience across a variety of game projects and platforms (not necessarily all Unity).
  • Strong understanding of technical challenges in complex game development environments and ability to adapt to customer production workflows.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, communicate progress, and deliver work in a timely manner under typical game-development constraints.
  • Experience developing and debugging code in large multithreaded C# or C++ codebases using multi-platform engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal, in-house).
  • Deep technical expertise in the Unity ecosystem, including C#, ScriptableObjects, Addressables, Unity lifecycle, and modern render pipelines (URP/HDRP).
  • Understanding of rendering pipelines, GPU architecture, and performance and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with modern graphics APIs (Metal, Vulkan, DirectX12) and shader languages (HLSL/GLSL).
  • Proven ability to profile and optimize CPU, GPU, and memory usage with tools such as Unity Profiler, Frame Debugger, RenderDoc, NSight, PIX, and Xcode.
  • Experience optimizing rendering performance across diverse target hardware (mobile, PC, console).
  • Sufficient professional English verbal and written communication skills; note that relocation support and work visa/immigration sponsorship are not available for this position.
