Description

  • Lead, manage, coach, and develop a cross-functional team of Backend, Mobile, and Web engineers.
  • Partner with Product Management to own global in-person acquiring products.
  • Set technical direction and oversee end-to-end delivery of ePOS, Tap to Pay, mobile, pricing, and payment-network systems.
  • Maintain reliable live products and lead architectural strategy for third-party vendor and hardware integrations.
  • Drive platform transformation and scale localized payment networks such as QR and UPI across international markets.
  • Own technical solutions throughout development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing operations.
  • Guide architecture decisions and translate product strategy into reliable, scalable platform solutions.
  • Communicate technical concepts and decisions effectively with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience directly managing, coaching, and developing cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Expertise in at least one core engineering domain, such as backend or mobile, with the ability to lead across platforms.
  • Extensive experience building robust applications, server-side systems, mobile deployment architectures, and scalable systems.
  • Experience with cloud-native environments, microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.
  • Experience integrating complex third-party vendors, hardware providers, and external payment networks.
  • Experience in FinTech, acquiring, in-person payments, ePOS systems, or payment gateway integrations is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of engineering best practices across development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Experience with strongly typed programming languages; Tide’s stack includes Java, Spring Boot, JOOQ, AWS, Kafka, SNS/SQS, PostgreSQL, Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes/EKS, Angular, Flutter, Swift, and Kotlin.
  • Ability to provide hands-on technical leadership, make architecture decisions, and communicate with stakeholders.
