Description

  • Own engineering planning, estimation, delivery, and execution for the product pod.
  • Partner with the pod owner to review requirements, identify gaps and edge cases, and assess technical risks.
  • Lead technical discussions, challenge assumptions, and validate implementation approaches.
  • Balance delivery speed, software quality, and technical debt while improving predictability.
  • Enforce best practices for code reviews, testing, documentation, observability, security, and coding standards.
  • Drive root-cause analysis, production quality, and prevention of recurring issues.
  • Mentor engineers and foster ownership, accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with QA, Design, DevOps, and other teams to remove blockers and support successful releases.
  • Conduct technical research for the pod on behalf of the pod owner.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • 2+ years leading engineering teams or technical delivery.
  • Strong experience building modern enterprise SaaS products.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture and system design.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native applications; AWS experience preferred.
  • Experience with modern development practices, CI/CD, and automated testing.
  • Strong understanding of Agile product development.
  • Ability to review code and technical designs.
  • Strong planning, estimation, delivery management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance business priorities with engineering quality; experience with cross-functional teams, startups, secure development, observability, incident management, mentoring senior engineers, or AI-assisted development preferred.
