Description

  • Monitor shipped products and services using agreed “Eyes on glass/Follow the sun” operating models.
  • Track service performance against business-defined KPIs and respond to deviations.
  • Define incident response procedures and prepare runbooks with SRE teams and client stakeholders.
  • Automate day-to-day operations to reduce manual effort and improve team efficiency.
  • Act as first responder for incidents in production and other high-value environments.
  • Coordinate incident communications, war rooms, and cross-team collaboration to resolve issues.
  • Prepare RCA and postmortem reports and communicate preventive measures to clients.
  • Implement reliability improvements through infrastructure and observability configuration code.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, ARM, or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with observability tools for logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, or Splunk.
  • Experience supporting at least one public cloud such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Hands-on experience managing workloads in container ecosystems such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
  • Understanding of performance tuning, scaling, high availability, disaster recovery, failover, backup, and recovery concepts.
  • Experience operating Linux systems such as RHEL or Debian-based distributions.
  • Experience supporting SQL and NoSQL databases such as Postgres and MongoDB, plus caching solutions such as Redis and Memcached.
  • Experience with networking configuration and security, including load balancing, proxies, TLS, certificate management, and standard network protocols.
  • Good understanding of API fundamentals including requests, responses, headers, authentication, and JSON payloads.
  • Strong English communication skills and ability to hold Q&A discussions with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure during production incidents.
  • Strong analytical, deduction, and reasoning skills.
  • Strong ownership and willingness to work beyond strict role boundaries.
  • Willingness to join a rotation-based, need-based 24x7 available team.
  • US work authorization that does not require current or future visa sponsorship.

Benefits

  • Annual salary range of $91,000 to $137,000 USD.
