Description

  • Own the full sales cycle, including outbound prospecting, discovery, objection handling, and closing deals.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline through outbound outreach, networking, and follow-up with prospective accounts.
  • Develop and manage key stakeholder relationships with customers and decision-makers.
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows as needed.
  • Support executive leadership by translating commercial priorities into execution.
  • Build the operating infrastructure needed to support commercial initiatives.
  • Support tuck-in M&A activity in some portfolio company roles.
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to track progress against commercial objectives.
  • Identify trends and opportunities across sales, marketing, and customer success.
  • Prepare commercial reporting and strategic materials for senior stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in a related role for Inside Sales / Account Executive / Business Development Representative roles.
  • 2 to 5+ years of cross-functional commercial experience for Commercial Strategy / Business Operations roles.
  • Experience from internships or customer-facing roles such as inside sales, recruiting, or other high-activity roles with measurable results.
  • Preference for full-cycle AE or SDR experience at $3M to $25M ARR B2B SaaS companies.
  • Strong CRM hygiene and disciplined pipeline management.
  • Comfortable with high call and email volume on a sustained basis.
  • Experience running customer calls, outbound campaigns, or structured discovery conversations.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and build trust with senior or executive-level stakeholders.
  • Track record of A/B testing messaging or improving outreach conversion rates.
  • Experience independently improving outbound scripts or email sequences.
  • Comfortable tracking and reporting on outreach metrics.
  • Able to handle pricing and value objections with composure and confidence.
  • Background in consulting, investment banking, PE ops, or BizOps at a growth-stage SaaS company preferred.
  • Experience building KPI dashboards and commercial reporting tied to ARR and retention metrics.
  • Experience drafting board-level materials and presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify decisions, escalate with proposed solutions, and maintain clear ownership.
  • Comfortable moving between high-level strategy and detailed execution.
  • Able to respectfully challenge leadership when data supports it.
  • Outcomes-driven, metrics-minded, coachable, and effective in ambiguous, lean, fast-moving environments.

Benefits

  • Portfolio-company-specific location and benefits package.
  • Compensation expected to range from $36 to $40 per hour, depending on role and portfolio company size/scale.
