Description

  • Plan, direct, and oversee the full software project lifecycle from requirements through maintenance.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of software engineers, including prioritization, technical guidance, and performance reviews.
  • Support engineer career development and manage team staffing needs.
  • Drive strategic technical decisions and approve design approaches aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on engineering strategy, roadmap planning, and talent needs.
  • Establish and enforce standards for architecture, testing, documentation, and performance.
  • Lead development of scalable, reliable event-driven systems in AWS or Google Cloud using Java and Python.
  • Oversee systems and projects supporting SMS A2P 10DLC compliance and messaging reliability.
  • Improve email deliverability and reputation through anti-spam and phishing prevention measures.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a related technical management role.
  • Experience with Java.
  • Experience developing and maintaining RESTful web services.
  • Experience using SQL relational databases.
  • Experience architecting distributed and scalable systems in cloud environments such as AWS.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Opsgenie or Datadog.
  • Experience with event-driven systems, messaging platforms, and data streaming tools such as SQS, Kinesis, and Kafka (preferred/related experience).
  • Experience with DynamoDB and Elasticsearch (preferred/related experience).
  • Experience with SMS A2P 10DLC compliance and email deliverability improvement (preferred/related experience).
