Description

  • Work with DevOps and DBA teammates to provide weekend coverage and support.
  • Improve infrastructure and operational processes across the six countries where the company is currently deployed.
  • Streamline environment provisioning and deployment processes for future country launches.
  • Reduce infrastructure costs, lower response times, and incorporate newer techniques and technologies.
  • Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure using autoscaling, automated alerts, and OpsWorks and Grafana dashboards.
  • Own cloud operations activities and take responsibility for operational performance.
  • Liaise with external security agencies for annual audits and perform internal security sweeps.
  • Reconfigure existing architecture to support rapid deployments into new countries.
  • Mentor less experienced team members.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of DevOps experience.
  • Must be based in Europe, Asia, or LatAM.
  • Experience independently leading the planning and deployment of a project.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS, and using cloud resources to meet production and team demand.
  • Strong understanding of modern microservices and service mesh concepts.
  • Experience managing Kubernetes, including CI/CD with Kubernetes.
  • Solid networking knowledge, especially TCP/IP stack and HTTP protocol.
  • Strong cache knowledge, including CDN, HTTP cache, Redis, and Memcached.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, including Linux OS diagnosis and OS parameter optimization.
  • JVM optimization experience is highly advantageous.
