Description

  • Debug and troubleshoot incidents involving Sonatype products and solutions.
  • Reproduce defects and file actionable issues for product engineering.
  • Replicate customer deployment environments for testing across Docker, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and similar platforms.
  • Represent Technical Support and customer interests in discussions with Engineering and Product Management.
  • Assist product management in developing and prioritizing enhancement requests.
  • Summarize, communicate, and escalate customer issues to management.
  • Contribute to and maintain the knowledge base.
  • Contribute to diagnostic tools and utilities, including creating new tools when needed.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via support cases, email, chat, and phone.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience supporting complex enterprise software solutions.
  • Strong ability to read and understand Java code.
  • Experience using REST APIs.
  • Experience testing and/or developing production-quality Java-based web applications.
  • Solid experience with Linux command-line tools.
  • Experience with SQL databases, with PostgreSQL as a plus.
  • Experience with networking concepts including sockets, HTTP, proxies/firewalls, and TLS/SSL.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or TypeScript.
  • Experience with a major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with one or more application servers such as Jetty, Apache, or NGINX.
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes or similar tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid English proficiency.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and experience working with internal and external clients on technical issues.
  • Preferred: experience with SCM and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub, and GitLab.
  • Preferred: experience debugging certificate-based mutual TLS and SSL authentication.
  • Preferred: experience analyzing network traces with tools such as Wireshark or tcpdump.
  • Preferred: experience with component management build tools such as Maven, npm, and NuGet.
  • Preferred: experience with Sonatype, JFrog, Snyk, or similar products.
  • Preferred: experience deploying and configuring cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Preferred: OAuth and/or SAML integration experience.
