Description

  • Serve as the primary technical expert for product partners and translate their platform capabilities into integration opportunities for Sonar.
  • Advise partners on preferred integration patterns and assess the feasibility of custom technical integrations when needed.
  • Present partner integration requirements to Sonar’s Product Management and Engineering teams and influence the partner integration roadmap.
  • Design, architect, prototype, and demonstrate integration-based solutions with Sonar and partner products.
  • Build integrations with DevOps and CI/CD providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Atlassian, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins.
  • Develop integrations with IDE platforms such as VS Code, JetBrains, Cursor, and Windsurf.
  • Work with agentic coding providers including Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and GitHub Copilot to extend Sonar’s reach.
  • Create technical content such as integration guides, reference architectures, blog posts, and video demos.
  • Conduct joint webinars with partners and represent Sonar at industry and partner events.
  • Assist partners and customers with integration deployments and implementations, and coordinate across Product Management and Engineering.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a partner-facing or sales-facing technical role such as Partner Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Developer Advocacy.
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with the ability to independently architect, design, and develop software.
  • Proficiency in Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or Go.
  • Strong experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, and authentication standards such as OAuth and SAML.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Atlassian, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins, including plugin and integration frameworks.
  • Experience with IDE platforms such as VS Code, JetBrains, Cursor, and Windsurf, especially their plugin frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of agentic software development, including MCP, CLI integration methods, and plugin models for platforms like Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and GitHub Copilot.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML platforms such as Databricks, AWS Bedrock, AWS SageMaker, Google Cloud Vertex AI, and Azure AI Foundry is a plus.
  • Experience with marketplace listings, partner directories, and positioning developer tools within cloud-native AI workflows is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex integration architectures to technical and business audiences.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership through published content and speaking engagements.
  • Strong business acumen paired with a solid technical foundation.
