Description

  • Build and manage a sales pipeline to meet or exceed software and services sales quotas within your book of business.
  • Execute a solution-based sales process across commercial mature accounts (approximately 500–4,999 employees).
  • Develop new business opportunities within existing customers by analyzing and proactively targeting high-value needs across multiple departments and lines of business.
  • Leverage existing relationships to expand Smartsheet’s footprint and drive revenue growth during renewals.
  • Expand Smartsheet brand awareness and engagement at the c-suite, operational, and team levels.
  • Facilitate and manage partnerships with Sales Engineers, Solutions Consultants, and Customer Success teams to support the full sales cycle and close business.
  • Create and maintain Joint Engagement Plans for strategic solution deals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce using MEDDICC qualification guidelines to forecast and track deals.
  • Utilize sales enablement tools and account research (internal and external) to implement a territory plan and identify top accounts.
  • Multi-thread opportunities across organizations to identify and drive upsell and cross-sell motion within accounts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full sales cycle management with a history of proven performance in the SaaS space.
  • 3+ years of experience managing customer relationships in a B2B environment.
  • 3+ years working with multiple functional departments and roles to manage the customer lifecycle from initial engagement through implementation to renewal.
  • Thorough understanding of the SaaS evaluation process and ability to execute each stage of the sales cycle.
  • Experience executing solution-based sales within mid-market/commercial accounts (500–4,999 employees).
  • Ability to research accounts to uncover upsell opportunities and multi-thread across an organization.
  • Experience using CRM and analytics/BI tools such as Salesforce and Tableau to track activities, metrics, and territory insights.
  • Familiarity with MEDDICC qualification guidelines and accurate forecasting practices.
  • Passion for new technologies and technical concepts.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of post-secondary education.
