Description

  • Design and implement scalable, reliable approaches to support or automate decision-making across the business.
  • Apply data science techniques and subject matter expertise to solve complex and ambiguous business problems.
  • Build SQL and ETL queries and import processes to acquire data from S3, RedShift, Spark, and other company interfaces.
  • Analyze data for trends, validity, and anomalies using statistical exploration and transformation techniques.
  • Build, validate, and deploy models using statistical, mathematical, econometric, network, NLP, machine learning, genetic algorithm, and neural network methods.
  • Ensure models and ETL processes meet requirements for computational efficiency, accuracy, and reliability throughout production stages.
  • Implement and deploy modern machine learning and GenAI solutions, build prototypes, troubleshoot customer issues, and explore new approaches.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders, counterparts, and customers to translate business needs into data science solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, analytics, AI, product, and academic partners to deliver tailored solutions and align work to business goals.
  • Establish data science best practices and modeling standards, and mentor junior and mid-level data scientists.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of data scientist experience with a proven record of solving complex business problems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Competency in SQL and Python, or in statistical/mathematical software such as R, SAS, or Matlab.
  • Experience with statistical models such as logistic regression and supervised learning, plus a strong foundation in machine learning methods.
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies and modern machine learning frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills with non-technical executive audiences and the ability to turn complex findings into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated leadership and technical mentoring experience across a team or organization.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills and the ability to translate technical depth across audiences.
  • Daily, demonstrable use of AI-forward coding tools such as Claude and Cursor.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate highly ambiguous technical and business challenges.
  • Experience with advanced machine learning frameworks and cloud-based data science platforms is a plus.
  • Experience handling and modeling healthcare data is a plus.
  • AWS certifications, such as Certified Data Engineer – Associate, are strongly preferred.
