Description

  • Review and summarize utility filings, mandates, and commission requirements related to DSM and DER initiatives.
  • Prospect, identify, and qualify potential clients, partners, leads, and opportunities in the utility and energy sectors.
  • Conduct outbound calls, emails, and follow-ups to generate interest and secure meetings with decision-makers.
  • Tailor presentations to position Resource Innovations' utility and energy management solutions.
  • Participate in pre-sale meetings, document action items, and help move opportunities forward.
  • Contribute to account planning, capture planning, and opportunity strategy discussions.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, delivery, and proposal teams to develop customized proposals.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of interactions, leads, and pipeline activity.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulations, and competitive activity to identify new opportunities.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build relationships and company visibility.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in utility business development, sales, or account management within the utility, energy management, or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of utility operations, energy efficiency, and regulatory environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to lead generation and qualification.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and sales tools.
  • Experience with ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Energy Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Passion for advancing energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
  • Strong networking and partner development skills with potential clients and stakeholders.
  • Expert knowledge of market trends, the competitive landscape, and customer needs.
  • Goal-oriented with a consistent track record of achieving or surpassing sales targets.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and an innovative approach.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative.
  • Must be located in the United States.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of work time, including 3–4 trips per quarter and 3–4 industry conferences per year.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $110,000-$130,000 plus commission.
  • Eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.
