Description

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Design resilient, secure REST APIs and microservices for high availability and scalability.
  • Design PostgreSQL schemas, develop data-access solutions, and optimize complex SQL queries using JPA/Hibernate.
  • Deploy and scale cloud-native applications in Azure using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.
  • Apply distributed-systems, concurrency, caching, retry, resilience, and fault-tolerance patterns.
  • Develop unit and integration tests with tools such as JUnit, Mockito, and Testcontainers; participate in code reviews.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA, DevOps, and engineers to deliver features and services.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to technical architecture and engineering standards.
  • Diagnose production issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement durable fixes.
  • Improve application performance, observability, security, scalability, development processes, and code quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5–8+ years of professional software development experience with strong Java, Spring Boot, and backend expertise.
  • Experience designing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed applications using object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
  • 3+ years of hands-on PostgreSQL and complex SQL experience, including joins, subqueries, set operations, aggregates, schema design, and query optimization.
  • Experience with JPA/Hibernate, Git, Maven or Gradle, JUnit, and Mockito.
  • Experience with Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, performance-tuning, and secure backend development skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in Agile/Scrum environments, with the ability to take ownership and manage changing priorities.
  • Experience with high-volume, highly available SaaS or enterprise platforms is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Kafka, Redis, Spark, OAuth 2.0, JWT, observability, infrastructure as code, Domain-Driven Design, performance testing, Angular, or React is preferred.
