Description

  • Design and develop low-latency, scalable RESTful API services in AWS.
  • Build secure multi-tenant environments and database systems.
  • Integrate applications with external services through SDKs.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD applications and workflows.
  • Write raw SQL and manage database schema migrations.
  • Implement comprehensive testing, including integration, failure-mode, and fault-injection tests.
  • Contribute to frontend development with React when needed.
  • Collaborate with clients and teammates to deliver high-quality software and meet commitments.
  • Apply software development best practices and take ownership of deliverables.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional, backend-focused software development experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with AWS, scalable RESTful APIs, and low-latency services.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
  • Experience building secure multi-tenant environments and integrating external SDKs.
  • Proficiency with raw SQL and schema migration tools such as node-postgres or node-pg-migrate.
  • Professional experience with React and full-stack development.
  • Experience testing against real databases and conducting failure-mode or fault-injection testing.
  • Experience using AI coding assistants in daily development.
  • Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD applications.
  • Experience working with large, complex systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree required and availability to overlap U.S. business hours.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, accountability, client focus, and adherence to best practices.
  • Experience with append-only, event-sourced, or bitemporal data models preferred.
  • Experience with Fastify, schema-first validation such as Zod, AWS Fargate/ECS, or compliance-sensitive domains preferred.
