Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
  • Build and deploy containerized applications using Docker or equivalent technologies.
  • Develop and enhance a large-scale React-based front-end application.
  • Implement unit and integration tests using tools such as JUnit and Jest.
  • Support system integration, validation, and operational release activities.
  • Apply cybersecurity best practices to meet compliance and hardening requirements.
  • Develop internal tools that improve developer productivity and system performance.
  • Collaborate across engineering, product, and mission teams to solve complex problems.
  • Take ownership of features from design through deployment in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Continuously improve code quality, scalability, and maintainability.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience building backend systems using Java and Spring frameworks.
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and real-time communication using WebSockets.
  • Proficiency with Git, Jenkins, Gradle, Node.js, and Docker.
  • Experience building complex, data-driven UI applications with strong validation logic.
  • Comfortable working in Linux-based environments.
  • Proven ability to contribute across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with Git-based workflows such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket on large teams is preferred.
  • CI/CD experience with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Maven, Gradle, or NPM/Yarn is preferred.
  • Strong experience with TypeScript in enterprise-scale applications is preferred.
  • Experience with Tactical Assault Kit (TAK) or other C2 systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with UML, system design, or architecture modeling is preferred.
  • Experience contributing to open-source or externally published software is preferred.
  • Agile/Scrum development experience in mission-focused environments is preferred.
  • Strong technical communication and documentation skills, including diagramming tools such as Visio, is preferred.
  • Must be based in the United States.
  • Must have at least a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
