Description

Design, build, deploy, and monitor production AI agents on Google Cloud using the Google Agent Development Kit and Claude ecosystem.
Build agents and plugins that interact with operational source systems and internal company workflows.
Develop and operate AI usage monitoring, including token consumption, adoption, leaderboards, and executive reporting metrics.
Land and model operational source systems into a data lake with documented data dictionaries and freshness SLAs.
Build integrations through MCP servers, APIs, event triggers, scheduled jobs, and ETL pipelines.
Stand up and maintain executive Power BI dashboards across multiple data sources.
Own all GCP infrastructure as code in Terraform and manage environment provisioning.
Operate CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, including tests, security scans, promotion, and rollback.
Implement logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, cost monitoring, and other operational controls for production systems.
Partner with IT operations on security monitoring, identity automation, audit evidence, and controlled-data handling.
Build automation for access reviews, audit logs, configuration baselines, and compliance evidence.
Maintain engineering documentation, runbooks, architecture decisions, and incident postmortems.

Requirements

5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with exceptional candidates having less experience and a strong Claude Code or agent portfolio considered.
Production experience using Claude Code, Codex, or a similar primary development tool, including custom skills, agent workflows, and MCP servers.
Experience designing, deploying, and operating production LLM agents with tool calling, retrieval, evaluation, observability, cost control, and failure handling.
Experience with LangGraph or an equivalent agent framework, with willingness to standardize on Google ADK.
Hands-on production experience with GCP, plus working familiarity with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Outlook, Microsoft Graph API) and Azure (Entra ID, core services).
Production Terraform experience, including module design, state management, and CI/CD integration.
Experience with GitHub Actions or equivalent CI/CD, including automated testing, environment promotion, secrets handling, rollback, and on-call ownership.
Strong Python skills for agents, data pipelines, and automation.
Experience landing operational data into a warehouse, modeling it, and exposing it to BI and AI systems.
Ability to present architecture and trade-offs to senior stakeholders, including the VP of AI & IT, CFO, and occasionally the board.
Energy industry exposure, especially nuclear, or adjacent experience in utilities, transmission, oil and gas, renewables, or IPPs is preferred.
Experience operating in regulated environments such as FedRAMP, CMMC, export controls, or similar regimes is preferred.
Prior experience as a sole/early engineer at a startup or first AI hire at a larger organization is preferred.
Experience with MCP server development and the Google Agent Development Kit is preferred.
Experience integrating with tools such as Primavera P6, NetSuite, Procore, Aconex, Documentum, or Cobblestone CLM is preferred.
SharePoint Framework (SPFx), TypeScript, JSX, or Microsoft Graph API experience is preferred.
Power Automate, PowerShell, or other Microsoft automation experience is preferred.
Experience with a statically typed language such as Go, TypeScript, or Java is preferred.

Base salary range of $110,000–$150,000.
