Description

  • Manage and sell Renaissance Learning products and services within an assigned territory.
  • Drive new business, customer renewals, cross-sell, and up-sell opportunities to achieve revenue goals.
  • Proactively engage multiple decision makers throughout the sales cycle to grow the assigned book of business.
  • Serve as the primary account contact for customers and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Success partners and Account Executive team members.
  • Develop consultative solutions aligned to customer needs and strategic objectives.
  • Lead internal and external partners to build winning solutions that deliver value for customers and Renaissance.
  • Build credibility through accurate product knowledge, market insights, and reliable follow-through.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the K-12 education market, including district structures, funding, purchasing, and buying cycles.
  • Travel occasionally for customer engagements, conferences, and other revenue-generating activities.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of prior sales experience.
  • Proficiency with collaboration tools such as Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales technology such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Knowledge of education customers, organizational structures, and leadership personas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of the K-12 education space, including public, private, and parochial schools, is required.
  • Deep knowledge of K-12 district and school administrative roles, funding, purchasing processes, buying cycles, policies, practices, trends, and school board oversight is expected.
  • Technical knowledge of common tools and trends in the ed tech space is important.
  • Experience in education sales is a bonus.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and creative problem-solving are preferred.
  • Occasional travel is required.
  • Candidates are ideally located in Louisiana.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States, and visa sponsorship is not available.

  • Base salary range of $61,800 to $85,000 with total target compensation of $123,000 to $158,000.
