Description

  • Serve as the directly responsible individual for Commercial Legal and lead support for sales, partnership, and vendor contract reviews and negotiations.
  • Ensure timely legal support for month-end and quarter-end commercial activity.
  • Empower GTM teams to sell upmarket by improving commercial terms, templates, and sales contracting processes.
  • Train GTM teams in collaboration with Legal and GTM stakeholders on commercial contracting processes and best practices.
  • Provide strategic support to Partnership teams on deal negotiations and bespoke term drafting.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Operations and Legal Operations to automate workflows and improve contracting efficiency.
  • Maintain the CLM system and related processes, and capture commercial contracting metrics for better decision-making.
  • Guide, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to a team of commercial lawyers.
  • Build strategic relationships with internal stakeholders and increase Legal’s influence in commercial strategy discussions.
  • Lead cross-functional legal projects and coordinate with internal teams, external partners, and local counsel as needed.

Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer in your location, required.
  • Extensive experience as a commercial contracts lawyer, including difficult negotiations and specific legal issues.
  • Previous in-house experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in sales, partnership, and procurement transactions in HR tech and/or SaaS.
  • Experience leading and guiding a team of commercial lawyers.
  • Strong ability to build trusted relationships in a fully remote environment.
  • Comfort using AI to work more efficiently and creatively.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in or ability to learn Remote’s tech stack, including Slack, Coupa, Notion, and Google Drive.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Remote work experience is a plus.
  • US or UK location.
  • Ability to start as soon as possible.
