Description

  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues involving firewalls, switches, wireless access points, VLANs, routing, VPNs, and general connectivity.
  • Support and maintain firewall environments, including rule changes, VPN configuration, firmware updates, and security reviews.
  • Configure and support managed switches, including VLANs, trunking, port assignments, PoE, and firmware maintenance.
  • Support wireless networks through SSID configuration, access point updates, coverage reviews, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Monitor client networks and respond to alerts related to device availability, performance, and connectivity.
  • Assist with network projects such as firewall replacements, switch upgrades, wireless deployments, and network refresh initiatives.
  • Perform network assessments to identify end-of-life, end-of-support, unsupported, or misconfigured equipment.
  • Create and maintain network documentation, including topology diagrams, device inventories, IP addressing, VLANs, and configuration notes.
  • Coordinate with vendors on support cases, RMAs, licensing, and troubleshooting.
  • Work escalated network tickets from the service desk, NOC, or client-facing teams.

Requirements

  • Experience working in an MSP or multi-client environment (preferred).
  • Experience with network monitoring tools such as Auvik, Meraki Dashboard, SonicWall NSM, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting vendors such as SonicWall, Meraki, Cisco, Ubiquiti, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Extreme, or similar platforms.
  • Experience performing firewall reviews, switch audits, wireless assessments, and firmware upgrade planning.
  • Certifications such as Network+, CCNA, Meraki ECMS, SonicWall SNSA, Fortinet NSE, or other network-focused certifications preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to clearly explain network issues, risks, and recommendations.
  • Strong attention to detail when documenting configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with service teams, project teams, vendors, and clients.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues from start to finish.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a professional and helpful approach.
  • Willingness to follow standards, processes, and change management requirements.
  • Hands-on technical knowledge of firewalls, switching, wireless, routing, VPNs, core networking concepts, monitoring, documentation, and vendor support workflows.
  • Comfort working in a security-conscious environment with client data and documented processes.
  • Unable to employ candidates outside the United States or support visa sponsorship for U.S.-based H1B workers.
