Description

  • Configure and install network devices and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, and QoS.
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
  • Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure network changes are approved and successful.
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel to resolve problems.
  • Ensure system availability and reliability through ongoing network performance monitoring.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a network engineer within the DoW environment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Ability to obtain or hold an active Secret security clearance or higher.
  • Clearance will not be sponsored.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Experience substitution allows 1 academic year at an accredited college or university in a preferred related post-secondary program for 1 year of experience.
  • Experience with network devices and services such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, and QoS.
