Description

Respond to customer issues involving connectivity, latency, packet loss, VoIP quality, and routing instability.
Troubleshoot bonded WAN links, SD-WAN failover, wireless backhaul systems, VLAN segmentation, and VPN connectivity.
Support routers, firewalls, and customer premise equipment (CPE) in live production environments.
Document troubleshooting steps, root cause analysis, and configuration changes.
Monitor and maintain wireless backhaul systems, edge routing devices, bonded WAN infrastructure, and core ISP services.
Provision and configure routers, VLANs, firewall rules, QoS policies, and VPNs.
Troubleshoot routing and failover issues involving BGP, OSPF, routing loops, and WAN instability.
Configure and maintain MikroTik RouterOS, Peplink SpeedFusion, and InControl2.
Support tower deployments, infrastructure expansion, and backhaul upgrades.
Collaborate with engineering and field teams on escalations, deployments, and customer optimization.

Requirements

Hands-on experience in ISP, WISP, FTTH, or MSP environments.
Strong troubleshooting experience with routing, switching, WAN connectivity, and failover systems.
Experience configuring routers, firewalls, VLANs, and VPNs.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, NAT, QoS, VLANs, BGP, and OSPF.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Ability to balance technical troubleshooting with customer communication.
Comfortable working independently in remote environments.
Peplink / SpeedFusion experience is strongly preferred.
MikroTik RouterOS expertise is strongly preferred.
Experience with Cambium, Ubiquiti, Siklu, or Aviat is strongly preferred.
Experience with fixed wireless deployments and mmWave backhaul systems is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with Starlink and hybrid WAN deployments is strongly preferred.
VoIP troubleshooting experience with SIP, QoS, and voice optimization is strongly preferred.
