Description

  • Identify, prospect, and close new SaaS customers across Bay Area biotech hubs.
  • Own the full sales cycle from discovery and demo through technical validation, ROI, negotiation, and close.
  • Build pipeline through cold outreach, on-site visits, networking, cluster events, and referrals.
  • Maintain and grow gross profit dollars across existing customers in the Bay Area territory.
  • Meet in person with scientists and procurement teams to increase e-commerce adoption.
  • Use Salesforce and Looker data to identify product-category gaps, missed savings, and workflow friction.
  • Introduce new product categories and promotions to expand Quartzy’s share of wallet.
  • Partner with Marketing on campaigns that support SaaS and e-commerce growth.
  • Coordinate with Supply, Software, Pricing, Customer Success, and Operations to share field insights and improve execution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of life science sales experience, specifically selling laboratory supplies for a distributor or manufacturer.
  • Strong familiarity with lab products, consumables, and procurement workflows in biotech.
  • Comfortable speaking with scientists and driving in-person conversations.
  • Demonstrated hustle and consistent goal attainment, even in non-traditional sales roles.
  • Experience negotiating with Procurement professionals at BioPharma companies.
  • Existing relationships and network of contacts in SMB biotech to accelerate growth.
  • Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate there.
  • Willing to visit customers and prospects frequently.
  • Experience with SaaS sales is preferred.
  • A field-oriented, commercial background working closely with labs is preferred.

  • $105,000 - $125,000 base salary.
  • $180,000 - $250,000 OTE with uncapped commission potential.
