Description

  • Own and execute the regional sales strategy to achieve production, market share, and profitability goals.
  • Translate enterprise growth priorities into regional execution plans that drive broker engagement and pipeline development.
  • Recruit, mentor, coach, and lead field sales representatives and frontline sales managers.
  • Develop regional plans using market analytics, CRM insights, and local market intelligence.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with brokers, General Agencies, and other distribution partners.
  • Conduct field visits, strategic planning sessions, and growth reviews with key partners.
  • Drive disciplined pipeline management, opportunity tracking, forecasting, and CRM usage.
  • Champion digital sales capabilities, including broker portals, APIs, and integration readiness.
  • Collaborate with Underwriting, Operations, Product, Claims, Technology, and Sales Enablement teams.
  • Lead or support cross-regional initiatives that advance the company’s distribution strategy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in employee benefits sales with broker and General Agency relationship management.
  • Experience recruiting, coaching, and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Experience leading multi-layer sales organizations, including frontline sales managers.
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits products, including Dental, Vision, Life, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Paid Leave, and Supplemental Health.
  • Experience developing and executing regional sales strategies using market analytics and CRM insights.
  • Demonstrated success managing pipeline development, forecasting, and sales performance in a modern CRM environment.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership experience partnering with Client Management, Underwriting, Product, Operations, and Technology teams.
  • Preferred experience expanding employee benefits distribution in emerging or rapidly growing markets.
  • Preferred experience selling through aggregator channels such as GAs, PEOs, payroll providers, and benefits administration platforms.
  • Preferred experience leading sales teams focused on small and middle market employers (U500).
