Description

  • Own and execute the regional sales strategy to meet production, market share, and profitability goals.
  • Translate enterprise growth priorities into regional execution plans that drive broker engagement and pipeline development.
  • Recruit, mentor, lead, and coach field sales representatives to improve activity, conversion, and performance.
  • Develop regional plans using market analytics, CRM insights, and local market intelligence.
  • Build trusted relationships with brokers, General Agencies, and other key distribution partners.
  • Conduct field visits, strategic planning sessions, and growth reviews with distribution partners.
  • Drive disciplined pipeline management, opportunity tracking, forecasting, and CRM visibility.
  • Champion digital sales capabilities, including broker portals, APIs, automation, and integration readiness.
  • Partner with Underwriting, Operations, Product, Claims, Technology, Client Management, Renewal, and Sales Support teams.
  • Build a high-performing sales culture focused on accountability, professionalism, continuous learning, and execution excellence.

Requirements

  • Must reside within the assigned Mid-Atlantic region: MD, VA, DC, PA, NC, or SC.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in Employee Benefits sales.
  • Experience managing relationships with brokers, GAs, and other complex intermediary distribution models.
  • Proven ability to recruit, coach, and develop high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong command of Employee Benefits products, including Dental, Vision, Life, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Paid Leave, and Supplemental Health.
  • Experience developing and executing regional sales strategies using market analytics, CRM insights, and distribution intelligence.
  • Demonstrated success with pipeline development, forecasting, and sales performance in a modern CRM environment.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership experience partnering with Client Management, Underwriting, Product, Operations, and Technology teams.
  • Preferred experience expanding Employee Benefits distribution in emerging or rapidly growing markets.
  • Preferred success selling through aggregator channels such as GAs, PEOs, payroll providers, and benefits administration platforms.
  • Preferred experience working with national and large regional brokers.
  • Preferred experience leading sales teams focused on small and middle market employer segments (U500).
