Description

  • Identify and close business opportunities for Precision Biospecimen services in the assigned region.
  • Manage a Business Development team focused on selling defined biospecimen product and service offerings.
  • Achieve annual biospecimen and individual sales targets.
  • Develop and strengthen client relationships.
  • Work with clients and internal teams to understand specimen needs, prepare inventory reports, conduct feasibility assessments, and create purchase orders and budgets.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Marketing, Technical Support, Customer Support, and Finance.
  • Qualify leads and expand existing business relationships.
  • Attend conferences, trade shows, and meetings as required.
  • Maintain contacts and opportunities in Salesforce.com.
  • Manage large accounts, including rate cards and discount structures.
  • Assist with hiring and training new business development team members.
  • Contribute to marketing and conference strategy.
  • Serve as a liaison across Precision service lines, including clinical and labs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related sales experience, or Master’s degree and 2 years of related sales experience.
  • Proven client relationship management and business development success in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO organization.
  • Experience selling biobanking, sample preparation services, and specialty lab services.
  • Track record of success with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Ability to collaborate, share knowledge, and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time, and create plans to achieve personal goals.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically while acting tactically in a dynamic environment.
  • Must be self-directed and self-motivated to work at a highly technical level.
  • Willingness to travel up to 35%, including domestic and international overnight travel.
  • Valid driver’s license for the state(s) in which you drive.
  • Ability to read, write, speak fluently, and comprehend English.
  • Preferred: academic concentration in life sciences or a related field.
  • Preferred: Master’s or Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry.
  • Preferred: 10 years of related sales experience.
