Description

  • Manage and monitor the day-to-day performance of external vendors responsible for HEI servicing.
  • Own oversight of third-party subservicers to ensure contractual, SLA, quality, and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Create and maintain servicing performance frameworks, scorecards, and operational reporting.
  • Track internal and vendor KPIs such as response times, remittance timelines, customer satisfaction, and compliance metrics.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external servicing partners to support alignment and accountability.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across Product, Capital Markets, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Legal, Investor Operations, and Lending Partnerships.
  • Identify performance issues, provide actionable feedback, and drive improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and borrower outcomes.
  • Use data and reporting tools to analyze servicing trends and translate insights into recommendations.
  • Lead and mentor direct reports or team members to strengthen analytical capability and internal redundancy.
  • Support operational scalability and portfolio health as the HEI portfolio grows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in vendor management, servicing, or default management in mortgage servicing environments.
  • Experience supporting in-house operations and/or third-party BPOs in mortgage servicing.
  • Demonstrated experience managing vendor performance against KPIs, SLAs, and quality standards.
  • Direct experience setting KPIs.
  • Hands-on experience with vendor onsite visits, operational audits, or compliance reviews.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience creating and interpreting dashboards and operational metrics.
  • Experience building operational dashboards or reporting with Sigma, Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
  • Experience managing work product and mentoring others; team lead or manager experience is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate expectations, feedback, and risks clearly.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally for vendor onsite visits about once per quarter.
  • Experience with Home Equity Investment (HEI) products and servicing operations is preferred.
  • Experience supporting the launch, onboarding, or expansion of servicing operations, including early-stage governance setup, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of servicing regulations, including RESPA, TILA, FCRA, and CFPB guidelines, is preferred.

  • Base salary range of $115,900-$128,100 in Tier 1 markets, $105,450-$116,550 in Tier 2 markets, and $97,850-$108,150 in Tier 3 markets.
