Description

  • Lead the creation and execution of a multi-regional fundraising strategy to meet annual revenue targets across assigned regions.
  • Align regional fundraising efforts with Playworks’ national development strategy and 2028 organizational priorities.
  • Build annual regional development plans with regional leaders to achieve revenue goals.
  • Drive new revenue growth from corporations, foundations, and other institutional funders across a multi-region portfolio.
  • Maintain strong pipeline coverage, win rates, conversion rates, and forecast accuracy for assigned fundraising goals.
  • Partner with regional Executive Directors, development managers, and national leaders to identify and secure new funding opportunities.
  • Translate organizational strategy into clear, actionable regional fundraising plans and customized local execution.
  • Coach and support regional development staff to implement consistent fundraising practices and meet performance expectations.
  • Use data to monitor performance, identify trends, and recommend strategic adjustments to improve fundraising outcomes.
  • Strengthen Playworks’ value proposition by clearly articulating the organization’s impact nationally and regionally.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience with success securing and managing six-figure gifts, partnerships, or multi-year funding.
  • Experience working in multi-regional, national, or similarly complex organizational development structures.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute fundraising strategies across multiple regions.
  • Strong experience translating organizational vision or strategy into actionable regional fundraising plans.
  • Experience collaborating across departments and coaching or supporting regional fundraising staff.
  • Strong background in pipeline development, forecasting, and performance monitoring across diverse geographic areas.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including persuasive proposals, strategic plans, and presentations.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience using CRM systems, with Salesforce highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead collaboratively and contribute to a strengths-based, mission-driven culture.
