Description

  • Design and implement data solutions for enterprise customers from concept through production.
  • Lead and manage teams of Solution Architects and Data Engineers, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders, technology partners, and internal sales and delivery teams across distributed global teams.
  • Develop end-to-end technical solutions with attention to performance, security, scalability, and data integration.
  • Write, debug, and optimize SQL queries to support solution delivery.
  • Create detailed solution documentation, including POCs, roadmaps, sequence diagrams, class hierarchies, and logical system views.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed client-facing presentations and communications.
  • Build strong cross-practice relationships to drive customer success and resolve project challenges with ownership.
  • Work across multiple projects while prioritizing tasks and adapting to changing focus.
  • Support full software development lifecycle activities, including design, documentation, implementation, testing, and deployment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Solutions Architect designing and implementing data solutions.
  • 2+ years of consulting leadership experience working with external customers.
  • Programming expertise in Java, Python, and/or Scala.
  • Experience with core cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Databricks, or GCP.
  • Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write, debug, and optimize queries.
  • Proven experience leading teams of Solution Architects and Data Engineers.
  • Experience collaborating with client stakeholders, technology partners, and cross-functional sales and delivery teams.
  • Client-facing written and verbal communication skills.
  • A 4-year bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Preferred experience with production data platforms including Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, Hadoop, and Databricks.
  • Preferred experience with cloud and distributed storage systems such as S3, ADLS, HDFS, GCS, Kudu, ElasticSearch/Solr, and Cassandra.
  • Preferred experience with data integration technologies such as Spark, Kafka, StreamSets, Matillion, Fivetran, NiFi, AWS DMS, Azure Data Factory, IICS, and Google DataProc.
  • Preferred experience working with multiple data source types, including queues, relational databases, files, search, and APIs.
  • Preferred experience across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Preferred experience with automated data transformation and curation tools such as dbt, Spark, Spark Streaming, and automated pipelines.
  • Preferred experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, AWS Managed Airflow, Luigi, or NiFi.
  • Preferred experience with Agile project management and data modeling methods such as Kimball or Data Vault.
