Description

  • Author project architecture design documents, including data flows, sequence diagrams, and overall system architecture.
  • Work across business and IT teams to assess current capabilities and define the desired future state and technology roadmap.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement client projects and reduce technology costs and solution redundancy.
  • Partner with Product Management to surface client requirements that may map to existing or future product features.
  • Define solution architecture visions for designated components, balancing long-term goals with near-term client needs.
  • Provide mentorship and ongoing support to internal implementation teams on business needs, use cases, questions, and issues.
  • Partner with customers to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that solve business problems.
  • Guide clients in the adoption of Abacus’ core data management platform.

Requirements

  • Experience working in the payer or healthcare data space and understanding clients’ historical data architecture needs.
  • Strong working knowledge of US healthcare data, including Medical Claims, Pharmacy Claims, Membership/Enrollment, Provider, and Clinical data.
  • Ability to define solution architecture vision in architecture design documents.
  • Broad technical knowledge across infrastructure, data models, databases, service orientation, programming, frameworks, standards, and technical modeling.
  • Strong experience with one or more cloud vendors, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare industry trends, regulations, and customer needs, with preference for prior payer or vendor experience.
  • Experience translating business needs into technology solutions for a cloud-based data management platform.
  • Strong communicator who can build relationships and communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences, including business leaders.
  • Preferred: working knowledge of Provider/EHR data formats and topics, including FHIR, X-12, HL-7 V2.3, and CCDA/CDA.
  • Preferred: working knowledge of CMS Interoperability Mandate 9115/0057, including mandated APIs and FHIR-based data structures.
  • Preferred: working knowledge of Utilization Management, Care Management, or Disease Management.
