Description

  • Prospect, engage, and qualify employer partners in the assigned region and domain with entry-level tech hiring needs.
  • Leverage existing industry relationships to generate warm leads and open doors quickly.
  • Conduct discovery meetings with hiring managers to assess workforce needs, culture, hiring timelines, and fit with Per Scholas graduate profiles.
  • Document outreach, contacts, and pipeline progress in HubSpot and keep records current throughout the contract.
  • Deliver a structured 30/60/90-day report covering leads generated, employers engaged, and conversion opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the National TSOL team on employer messaging, graduate profiles, and cohort timelines.
  • Build net-new employer pipeline rather than managing existing accounts or inherited business.
  • Translate employer hiring challenges into partnership opportunities.
  • Work as a self-directed contributor with minimal oversight.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of business development or sales experience in one of the target domain areas, with a demonstrable book of contacts.
  • Deep domain experience in Low Voltage & Critical Facilities, including low voltage systems, structured cabling, AV integration, and building technology.
  • Proven track record of opening new accounts rather than only managing existing relationships.
  • Strong discovery and consultative selling skills.
  • Comfort using HubSpot or a similar CRM for pipeline tracking and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-directed, entrepreneurial contributor.
  • Experience with workforce development, staffing, or human capital solutions is a plus.
  • Commitment to Per Scholas’ mission of economic equity and tech access for underrepresented adults.
  • Preferred hire location in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, MD, MA, MI, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA, TX, or WA.
  • Position is full-time, temporary, and structured as a 180-day contract, renewable based on outcomes.

  • Hourly rate of $45 per hour, commensurate with domain expertise and experience.
  • Potential for contract extension based on pipeline outcomes and organizational fit.
