Description

  • Work hands on with Okta customers in a post-sales consulting role.
  • Gather, analyze, and document customer requirements.
  • Communicate technical and functional information appropriately to customers and partners.
  • Lead multiple concurrent customer deployment projects and manage scope, schedule, status, and documentation.
  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot the Okta service for customer deployments and integrations.
  • Mentor and train customers on the service and support transition to post-deployment maintenance.
  • Act as a liaison between customers, Product Management, Engineering, and Support to resolve issues and influence product development.
  • Collaborate with sales on existing customer up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Shape and improve delivery processes, methods, and knowledge repositories.
  • Use identity, cloud, SaaS, API, and software development knowledge to support customer solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a technical consultant delivering solutions to external customers.
  • Software development experience with Java, Ruby, .Net, PHP, REST/JSON, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with JavaScript and at least one major JavaScript MVC framework such as Backbone, Angular, Ember, or React.
  • General knowledge of cloud architectures and complex enterprise on-premise IT landscapes.
  • Knowledge of enterprise identity lifecycle management processes and standards.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple customer engagements.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional settings.
  • Superb communication skills, including issue tracking, triaging, and crisis management.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Preferred experience with API management tools such as Mulesoft, Axway, or Apigee.
  • Preferred SaaS deployment experience with Salesforce, Box, Office 365, Workday, or HR master data for identities.
  • Preferred experience designing and implementing security and identity management solutions for critical systems and business programs.
  • Preferred familiarity with identity federation and access control protocols such as SAML 2.0, WS-Federation, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
  • Preferred AD and LDAP experience.
  • Preferred experience with popular AI tools such as Gemini, Claude, or ChatGPT.

Benefits

  • Annual OTE range of $176,000–$242,000 USD for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Annual OTE range of $157,000–$215,600 USD for candidates in California (excluding the Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington.
  • Annual OTE range of $157,900–$207,500 USD for candidates in Canada.
  • Equity eligibility where applicable.
  • Bonus eligibility for Canada-based candidates.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
