Description

  • Exceed quarterly and annual revenue and profit goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and vendors in assigned regions and new markets.
  • Develop and report a weekly pipeline of sales opportunities, quotes, and orders.
  • Work with customers to define requirements for future bids and contract quotations for equipment and services.
  • Travel to client locations and attend symposiums, conferences, trade shows, exhibitions, and vendor ride-alongs to develop sales opportunities.
  • Gather and share market, competitor, customer, opportunity, and threat intelligence.
  • Provide price quotations and establish credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
  • Use internal CRM and ERP systems to process quotes and orders.
  • Support Inside Sales with quote generation, data entry, and identification of funding opportunities.
  • Recommend products based on customer needs and collaborate on product development, improvements, modifications, or changes.
  • Prepare reports, maintain sales records, and file expense reports on corporate deadlines.
  • Develop marketing strategies to generate sales leads within the existing region.
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end customer sales process and maintain an organized sales calendar.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Representative.
  • Established understanding of Government Sales and Federal Contracting.
  • Experience working with the Department of Defense, Military, Federal Agencies, and Law Enforcement.
  • Ability to complete work within deadlines with little supervision.
  • Ability to carry out skillful negotiations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, if required.
  • Bachelor's degree and three years of sales experience, or 5 years of industry experience instead of education.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Office Suite, and Salesforce.
  • Proficiency in internet searching.
  • NetSuite experience or familiarity with an ERP system is a plus.
