Description

  • Exceed quarterly and annual revenue and profit goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, government personnel, and military stakeholders.
  • Identify, qualify, and manage new business opportunities and contract bids.
  • Develop requirements with customers for future bids and contract quotations.
  • Lead the development of compliant proposals in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Create and maintain a weekly pipeline of sales opportunities, quotes, and orders.
  • Travel to customer sites, symposiums, conferences, tradeshows, exhibitions, and vendor ride-alongs to generate opportunities.
  • Develop and communicate competitive intelligence, customer intelligence, market trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Provide price quotations, contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
  • Prepare reports, maintain sales records, process orders, and submit expense reports and other required management reports.
  • Represent the company at industry and military events to promote brand awareness and gather market intelligence.
  • Develop and execute business development and marketing strategies to expand the company's footprint in the PAE AS&A community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related technical field required.
  • Master’s degree highly desirable.
  • 5-10 years of experience in defense sales and business development with a successful track record of winning DOD contracts.
  • Established understanding of government sales and federal contracting.
  • Demonstrated experience with DOD procurement and contracting processes.
  • Proven ability to work with and influence senior business and government leaders.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to complete work within required deadlines and follow company procedures.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance, if required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Previous military experience highly desired.
  • Experience with Google Workspace, Oracle ERP, Epicor, Salesforce, Slack, Concur, and ADP systems.
