Description

  • Design and implement foundational generative AI platform services, including vector search, prompt tuning, agent orchestration, document extraction, memory services, registries, stores, guardrails, and evaluation pipelines.
  • Build infrastructure for autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents with collaboration, reasoning, and persistent memory support.
  • Develop standardized APIs and SDKs that enable product teams to compose, deploy, and monitor generative AI workloads.
  • Ensure platform components meet enterprise requirements for scalability, low latency, multi-region resilience, and cost efficiency.
  • Stand up LLM runtimes with token and rate governance, caching, and safe tool use.
  • Implement RAG pipelines at scale, including ingestion, chunking, embedding policies, hybrid search, scoring, and feedback loops.
  • Build agent orchestration workflows for single- and multi-agent systems, including planning, tool routing, shared memory, and inter-agent communication.
  • Integrate tools and APIs so agents can securely interact with internal systems and take controlled actions.
  • Implement cloud-native infrastructure for large-scale model training and serving using Kubernetes, MLflow, Terraform, and AWS-native services.
  • Embed compliance-by-design controls, guardrails, observability, and automated evaluation into AI/ML systems, and collaborate across engineering, research, security, and governance teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in software or machine learning engineering, including 5+ years in ML engineering at scale.
  • Expertise building production-grade ML and LLM systems on AWS using Python, TensorFlow or PyTorch, Spark, MLflow or Kubeflow, and vector databases.
  • Proven experience with GenAI and LLMs, including fine-tuning, RAG, prompt orchestration, agentic systems, safety guardrails, monitoring, and cost optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with RAG systems, including embeddings, vector databases, retrieval policies, caching, quotas, and multi-model routing.
  • Experience building agentic AI platforms using LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or custom frameworks.
  • Deep knowledge of data-intensive systems, distributed architectures, and cloud-native development.
  • Strong grounding in compliance-first engineering in healthcare, biotech, or diagnostics, preferred.
  • Track record of building secure, compliant data and AI systems and automating policy checks.
  • Ability to influence across teams, mentor engineers, and establish technical standards.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, engineering, or a related field, preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare, pharma, diagnostics, or other regulated industries, preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, bias detection, explainability, and compliance requirements such as HIPAA, CLIA, and FDA, preferred.
