Description

  • Investigate complex Planning and Controls issues by analyzing logs and replaying simulation data to identify the causes of anomalous vehicle behavior.
  • Own the development, testing, and deployment of urgent production software fixes.
  • Improve engineering workflows by developing internal tools and scripts for log analysis and automation.
  • Collaborate across teams to align on-road issues with ongoing software development.
  • Support the safe and reliable operation of autonomous vehicle software in production environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. preferred.
  • 3+ years of C++ software development experience focused on high-performance, resilient systems.
  • Experience navigating and contributing to large, complex, modular codebases with strong documentation practices.
  • Production software delivery experience, including CI/CD, large-scale version control, and rigorous release cycles.
  • Interest in autonomous vehicles and awareness of the risks associated with software interacting with the physical world.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and GitLab preferred.
  • Background in robotics middleware such as ROS or DDS, or in autonomous systems, preferred.
