Description

  • Achieve pipeline and growth targets across 10-20 assigned Fortune 500 clients.
  • Manage existing business and identify new opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Own the full sales cycle from outreach and qualification through discovery, proposals, RFPs, procurement, and closing.
  • Maintain post-close client relationships in partnership with the Research team and Commercial partners.
  • Track sales activity, update CRM records, and maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting hygiene.
  • Partner with Finance and Legal to secure favorable contract terms and resolve contract, requirements, and payment issues.
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership, Commercial support teams, and cross-functional partners to support business objectives and key results.
  • Represent Morning Consult in client meetings, strategy sessions, and industry events.
  • Continuously improve performance through feedback and self-development.
  • Travel up to 30% of the time as needed.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of enterprise sales experience with custom solutions and consultative services.
  • Experience at a data or market research firm is a plus.
  • Proven track record of quota attainment and growth, ideally including multi-million-dollar deals.
  • Experience leading consultative sales cycles for complex custom research solutions.
  • Familiarity with corporate marketing, communications, public affairs, insights, and/or brand functions at global or matrixed organizations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working across departments and job levels.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent.
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to synthesize data into audience-appropriate insights.
  • Willingness to take feedback, learn, and grow.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $124,900 to $205,500, with a midpoint of $165,200.
  • Eligibility for additional variable compensation.
  • Eligibility for an equity grant.
  • Remote work option or office-based work in Washington, DC; New York, NY; or Chicago, IL.
