Description

  • Manage and guide target accounts as demand increases on Sapphire systems.
  • Serve as the go-to technical engineer and resource for target customers on current and future programs.
  • Lead target accounts into manufacturing production using Velo3D’s end-to-end manufacturing solution.
  • Own education, project management, and program management across critical programs from early design through production.
  • Use prior design and manufacturing engineering experience to help customers define a production path forward.
  • Design, modify, and analyze complex geometries in CAD and use print preparation software to estimate print times and costing quotes.
  • Resolve complex technical and cross-functional issues involving internal teams, customers, and contract manufacturers.
  • Document statements of work and customer acceptance criteria for internal and external communication.
  • Educate customers on Velo3D part design allowables and the physical and economic tradeoffs versus incumbent manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with Applications Engineering and cross-functional teams on technical projects and non-standard parts/applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience.
  • Strong CAD software design experience with tools such as SolidWorks, Siemens NX, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
  • Industry experience in additive manufacturing, design engineering, and manufacturing processes such as AM, casting, machining, or forging.
  • Experience completing projects that progressed from early development into production.
  • Ability to self-motivate and manage complex projects through completion.
  • Efficient and effective sales and account management skills.
  • Customer-facing experience.
  • Project and program management experience.
