Description

  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS using infrastructure-as-code principles.
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable fast and reliable software delivery.
  • Monitor system health, define SLOs and SLAs, and support incident response and post-mortems.
  • Automate operational tasks to reduce toil and improve engineering efficiency.
  • Implement cloud security controls, IAM policies, and compliance guardrails.
  • Optimize cloud resource usage for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure cloud-native service design.
  • Maintain and improve observability tooling, including logging, metrics, and tracing.
  • Review technical requirements and develop code for a web-based enterprise application.
  • Code, test, and implement products across a variety of programming languages.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on cloud infrastructure or operations.
  • Strong programming skills in a major language such as Python, Java, Ruby, or C#.
  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and Route 53.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, load balancing, VPNs, and security groups.
  • Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or CloudWatch.
  • AWS certification such as Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator is preferred.
  • Experience with multi-account AWS environments and AWS Organizations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with GitOps workflows and tools such as ArgoCD or Flux is preferred.
  • Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd is preferred.
  • Background in SRE practices and reliability engineering is preferred.
  • Contributions to open-source infrastructure tooling are preferred.
