Description

  • Build and ship AI agents for real users, including tool-calling LLM systems with structured outputs, parallel API orchestration, and streaming responses.
  • Design evaluation harnesses and quality scoring to measure safety, effectiveness, and personalization.
  • Own the full lifecycle from prototyping and validation through staging and production deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
  • Improve reliability, latency, and cost through prompt caching, token budgets, retry logic, and observability.
  • Build the tools and integrations agents rely on, including API integrations, exercise search, and structured workout submission.
  • Partner closely with product, mobile, and backend engineers to identify high-impact opportunities and iterate based on data.
  • Validate new agent capabilities with real users and evaluation results before rolling them out.
  • Debug issues across application, model, and infrastructure layers.

Requirements

  • Strong Python skills with experience building and deploying services on large production systems.
  • Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar agent frameworks.
  • Hands-on production experience with LLMs, including prompt engineering, tool/function calling, structured output, and evaluation.
  • Comfort with async Python, HTTP APIs, and streaming protocols such as SSE and webhooks.
  • Experience with data validation and schema design using Pydantic and JSON Schema.
  • Ability to debug across layers, from broken LLM tool calls to misconfigured Terraform resources.
  • Clear communication skills and experience working directly with product, mobile, and backend engineers.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as Bedrock, ECR, CloudFront, S3, and Cognito, or other cloud agent hosting, is preferred.
  • Experience with observability and tracing tools such as Langfuse, OpenTelemetry, or Datadog is preferred.
  • Exposure to evaluation frameworks such as LLM-as-a-judge, automated scoring, and dataset management is preferred.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CDK is preferred.

  • Base salary of $215,000–$250,000 per year plus equity.
