Description

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage complex commercial agreements including SaaS, customer, partner, vendor, amendment, order form, SOW, BAA, and NDA documents.
  • Create both custom and standard agreements using contract templates while tailoring language to business needs and approved requirements.
  • Review customer and vendor redlines and balance business objectives with legal, operational, and commercial risk.
  • Lead negotiations for customer and vendor agreements within established approval frameworks.
  • Participate in negotiation meetings and calls to resolve contractual issues and drive timely execution.
  • Obtain approvals for non-standard contractual terms in line with company policies, risk tolerance, and approval authorities.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on contract language, negotiation strategy, contracting policies, and contractual risk.
  • Manage agreements throughout the full contract lifecycle from intake through execution, amendment, renewal, and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate contract records and workflow status in Salesforce, Apttus, and other CLM systems.
  • Support cross-functional projects and process improvements related to contracting operations and contract execution.
  • Recommend improvements to templates, playbooks, workflows, and contracting processes to increase efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
  • Leverage AI-enabled contract review, drafting, summarization, and workflow automation tools responsibly to improve contracting quality and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to adopt AI or other automation technologies in contracting processes.
  • Develop deep knowledge of MCG’s products, services, customers, and business operations to inform contracting decisions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced contracts professionals without direct supervisory responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in contracts management.
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering commercial agreements.
  • Experience negotiating SaaS, software subscription, technology, customer, and vendor agreements.
  • Experience using contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems, Salesforce, Apttus, or similar CRM and contract management platforms.
  • Ability to independently manage a high volume of complex commercial agreements.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders including Sales, Customer Success, Product, Finance, Security, and Legal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong judgment with the ability to balance commercial objectives with legal and operational risk within established policies and approval frameworks.
  • MBA, JD, Certificate in Contract Management, Paralegal Certification, or other relevant graduate degree preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, Salesforce, Apttus, or similar business applications.
  • Experience negotiating agreements with federal, state, or local government entities preferred.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), data privacy, information security requirements, and healthcare regulatory considerations preferred.
  • Experience improving contract templates, playbooks, or contracting processes.
  • Experience using AI-enabled productivity or contract lifecycle management tools to improve efficiency.
  • Ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and adapt in a dynamic business environment.

  • Base pay range of $107,000 to $150,000.
