Description

  • Discover and diagnose customer technical and business pain points, including root causes and business impact.
  • Engage stakeholders to define desired future state and map outcomes to success metrics.
  • Support customer digital sales rooms by providing technical input and aligning sales and technical teams.
  • Lead workshops, trials, and proof of concepts to validate solution fit against business objectives.
  • Guide customers in integrating Matillion solutions into their data stacks during trials and measure business outcomes.
  • Support technical aspects of credit sizing estimates.
  • Support customer cadences and business review meetings to drive platform adoption and engagement.
  • Identify and drive upsell and expansion opportunities to increase platform consumption and customer value.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships that help customers establish technical infrastructure and achieve first value quickly.
  • Create technical content and case studies, represent Matillion at industry events, and share customer feedback with Product and Engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience working with enterprise customers in a technical role such as Solution Architect or Sales Engineer.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
  • Strong understanding of NoSQL databases including MongoDB, Cassandra, and DynamoDB.
  • Hands-on experience with APIs, Linux, SQL, and technical problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Matillion Data Productivity Cloud or Matillion ETL, or experience with competitive ETL solutions, preferred.
  • Experience with value-based sales motions such as MEDDPPICC and Command of the Message, preferred.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Spark and PySpark, data lakes, and MPP databases such as Teradata, Vertica, and Netezza, preferred.
  • Familiarity with Git and Python, preferred.
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, preferred.
  • Experience using Salesforce, preferred.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $125,272 to $187,908.
  • Variable pay through sales commissions, with total on-target earnings of $178,960 to $268,440.
