Description

  • Grow sales revenue and test volume by opening new hospital accounts and expanding usage within existing accounts.
  • Build, manage, and nurture regional territory relationships across hospital and health system stakeholders.
  • Prioritize and segment accounts to maximize growth opportunities.
  • Present product features and benefits using consultative sales approaches, including qualification, needs assessment, evaluation support, and closing.
  • Lead early evaluations and drive initial adoption and ongoing utilization of the Karius test.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the science, technology, and competitive differentiation of the Karius test.
  • Develop trusted-advisor relationships and demonstrate ROI to partner accounts through regular engagement and utilization review.
  • Secure and renew contracts and partner agreements when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales, Customer Success, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Sales, Product leadership, and Medical Science Liaisons to support account growth and gather market feedback.
  • Complete sales documentation and administrative tasks in Salesforce, expense reports, and speaker program materials in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of sales or business development experience in Life Sciences, Biotech, Medical Device, Diagnostic Equipment, and/or Pharmaceutical industries.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Proven success introducing transformational, novel products or services to physicians and hospitals before peer-reviewed publication or guideline support.
  • Strong existing network in hospitals and health systems, including microbiology labs, send-out labs, physician groups, C-level executives, and clinical administrators.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with greater metropolitan area health systems in North Carolina territory.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales objectives and managing multi-level accounts.
  • Excellent relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills across audiences from physicians to executives.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced, ambiguous, growth-oriented environment; travel up to 70% required.
