Description

  • Grow sales revenue and test volume by winning new hospital business and expanding use in existing accounts.
  • Build, manage, and prioritize a regional territory of hospital and health system accounts.
  • Engage infectious disease physicians, lab directors, executives, and other clinical leaders to support adoption decisions.
  • Present product features and benefits using a consultative sales approach, including qualifying leads, assessing needs, supporting evaluations, and closing deals.
  • Lead early evaluations and drive ongoing utilization of the Karius test and related solutions.
  • Develop thought leaders and early adopters for the company’s diagnostic approach.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the science, technology, and differentiation of the Karius test.
  • Build deep relationships across multiple stakeholders and establish trusted-advisor status with partner accounts.
  • Secure contracts and manage renewals of partner agreements when needed.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Product teams to share market feedback, onboard accounts, manage risks, and support local events and follow-up.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
  • 5 years of sales or business development experience in Life Sciences, Biotech, Medical Device, Diagnostic Equipment, and/or Pharmaceutical industries.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Previous success introducing transformational, novel products or services to physicians and hospitals before peer-reviewed publications or guideline support.
  • Established network of relationships across hospitals and health systems, including microbiology labs, send-out labs, physician groups, C-level executives, and clinical administrators.
  • Strong vision and planning capabilities to grow a territory.
  • Excellent business acumen, analytical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of top sales achievement and exceeding sales objectives.
  • Experience with multi-level account management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous, growth-oriented environment; strong presentation and negotiation skills; high integrity and confidentiality.
