Description

  • Lead a deal team of business development and marketing support to prioritize, target, create, and close new and expansion opportunities in the assigned territory.
  • Develop a deep understanding of InStride’s offerings, mission, and competitive landscape.
  • Define clear value propositions and tailored account approaches for each prospect using business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Build relationships with potential partners and gain buy-in through consultative, value-based selling.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders throughout the sales process to design, present, and close complex solutions.
  • Communicate and influence executive and C-level leaders both internally and externally.
  • Use Salesforce to maintain accurate corporate partner, pipeline, and forecast data.
  • Travel as needed to support sales and partnership development.
  • Work across pre-sale through launch and beyond to deliver a best-in-class partner experience.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders on account strategies throughout the prospect journey.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of business development or corporate partnership experience, preferably selling tech-enabled services, education, edtech, SaaS, benefits, or HCM solutions to C-level executives.
  • Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota.
  • Experience with consultative or value-based selling.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills.
  • Experience managing long, complex deal cycles and multiple opportunities at once, including early- and late-stage deals.
  • High emotional intelligence, strong rapport-building ability, and empathy.
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate difficult situations and negotiate effective outcomes.
  • Experience using Salesforce as a CRM.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a startup mentality, with a desire for continuous improvement and learning agility.
