Description

  • Lead technical strategy and architecture for AI automation across the Commercial organization.
  • Design and build production-grade AI tools that generate insights, reports, and workflow automation.
  • Architect reliable integrations across internal systems and third-party SaaS platforms using APIs, webhooks, and authentication standards.
  • Develop multi-step AI agent workflows with human-in-the-loop controls and production evaluation.
  • Establish and enforce AI safety, reliability, security, and privacy standards across automation systems.
  • Design and optimize data pipelines that support AI agents at scale.
  • Create reusable frameworks and templates for rapid prototyping and deployment of automations.
  • Build intuitive self-serve interfaces such as Slack apps and internal low-code tools to drive adoption.
  • Partner with Commercial, Product, Engineering, Data Science, Sales, and Partnerships leaders to prioritize initiatives and align roadmaps.
  • Mentor other engineers on AI/LLM best practices, prompt engineering, evaluation, and deployment patterns.
  • Champion DevOps practices including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, alerting, and incident response.
  • Measure and communicate business impact through metrics such as time saved, revenue enabled, and efficiency gains.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in AI, automation, data engineering, or analytics engineering.
  • Proven track record of delivering AI or automation solutions with measurable business impact.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Experience building and operating production ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Experience designing and consuming APIs and webhooks, and building reliable services with FastAPI, Flask, or Node.js.
  • Production experience with dbt and modern cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks.
  • Hands-on experience using AI/LLMs in production workflows, including prompt engineering, retrieval strategies, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Strong experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and event-driven systems such as queues, pub/sub, and webhooks.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring other engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders.
  • Experience with a data visualization tool such as Tableau, Mode, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Experience with workflow automation and low-code platforms such as Zapier, n8n, Gumloop, or Superblocks.
  • Preferred: experience leading AI agent systems or automation platforms used by multiple business teams.
  • Preferred: experience with AI orchestration frameworks such as A2A, LangChain, LangGraph, or MCP.
  • Preferred: production experience with vector databases, RAG architectures, and AI evaluation tools such as Ragas, DeepEval, or LangSmith.
  • Preferred: experience building Slack apps or other lightweight internal tools.
  • Preferred: expert-level API design skills including OpenAPI, contract testing, rate limiting, and monitoring.
  • Preferred: production cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, plus Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Preferred: experience integrating with business tools such as Salesforce, Slack, Google Workspace, Jira, or Linear.
  • Preferred: experience establishing technical standards and best practices for a team or organization.
  • Preferred: exposure to e-commerce, retail analytics, or ad tech.
