Description

  • Drive commercial success and market expansion in Japan as part of the APAC Business Team.
  • Act as the face and voice of Headout in Japan with supply partners and travel experience providers.
  • Identify, reach out to, and onboard new supply partners and distribution-side partnerships to launch new cities in Japan.
  • Continuously nurture relationships with existing supply partners to create additional growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Operations, Tech, and Marketing to ensure smooth partnership execution.
  • Support booking growth by managing partner relationships and coordinating cross-functional work.
  • Analyze market trends and provide market and competitor analysis to inform business strategy.
  • Work across strategic initiatives and operational details to help scale the business in Japan.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Japanese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, preferably in consumer tech startups.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Global mindset and comfort working with people across different cultures and time zones.
  • Startup attitude with a highly collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to roll up your sleeves.
  • Experience working with a CRM and eagerness to learn and use new tools.
  • Ability to be based in Osaka or Tokyo.
  • Experience scaling a sales or business development function in a startup is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and stay focused in fast-changing environments is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the local market is a bonus.
